ISP billing software that bills, collects and reconnects.

EloERP is ISP billing software for internet providers. Every subscriber's package is billed on the 1st, reminders go out on WhatsApp and SMS with a pay link, and MikroTik disconnects unpaid connections and reconnects them once the bill is paid in full.

What is ISP billing software?

ISP billing software, often called an ISP billing system, keeps every internet subscriber with their package and connection details, writes their bill each month, reminds and collects, and cuts off and restores the connection when they stop or start paying. In EloERP each monthly bill is an ordinary sale invoice, so the customer ledger, receipts, printing, tax and your accounts all work on it the way they do on any sale.

How the month works

An internet provider's billing month, step by step

The same six steps every month, for 50 subscribers or 5,000. You set them up once; after that the system carries each one into the next.

  2. Bill dayOn the 1st, every active subscriber is billed for the month ahead. A new connection's first month is pro-rated by day.Bill 1 Nov · due 10 Nov

Packages & subscribers

Internet packages as plans, with PPPoE user, MAC and box/port on every subscriber

Each package you sell is a plan: its name, monthly price, bill day, due days and what happens when a bill goes unpaid. A subscriber is one customer on one plan, with the price frozen at sign-up so a later price change never rewrites anyone's bill by surprise.

  • Connection fields of your own: PPPoE user, MAC address, OLT or box and port, static IP. They show on the subscriber form, are searchable in the list and can be printed on the bill.
  • Installation, router and security deposit are one-time charges on the plan, billed once on activation. The deposit sits in a Customer Deposits liability, not in revenue, and is refunded or set off against dues when the customer leaves.
  • Area, pole and recovery agent on every subscriber. The agent comes from the area automatically, and you can change it at any time.
  • Upgrade or downgrade mid-month with a pro-rated charge or credit on the next bill. Put a travelling customer on hold from one date to another and the months inside the hold are not billed.
Automatic billing

Bill every subscriber on the 1st, due on the 10th, without typing an invoice

A billing run goes out every day just after midnight in your own time zone and bills whoever is due. The same run sits behind a Run billing button, so if you would rather press it yourself, the result is identical.

  • Preview first. See exactly who is billed, for which period and how much, with the total, before anything is written.
  • Never billed twice. A period can only be billed once. Running again, or after a power cut halfway through, skips what is already billed and counts it.
  • In advance or in arrears, on the 1st or on each customer's own start date, per plan. A plan can also suspend, rather than bill again, a customer whose last bill is unpaid past the grace days.
  • Confirmed bills post straight to the customer's ledger, or keep them as drafts to check first if you prefer.
  • Print this run puts every bill of the run in one PDF, for providers who still hand out paper bills door to door.
MikroTik billing

MikroTik billing: disconnect on non-payment, reconnect on payment

EloERP connects to your MikroTik router through RouterOS. When a subscription is suspended, it disables the customer's PPP secret or address-list entry. When the customer pays in full, it enables it again. Nobody logs in to the router to cut or restore a line.

  • When to cut: a bill still unpaid at the due date plus your grace days (for example 10 days) suspends the subscription. The customer gets a message and your staff get an alert.
  • When to restore: payment in full resumes the subscription by itself, whether it came through the pay link, an agent or the counter. If you want a person to check first, switch on staff-only reconnection.
  • Reconnection fee: set one on the plan and it is added to the next bill when the line comes back. Months spent suspended are not billed unless you choose otherwise.
  • Not on MikroTik? A webhook sends every activation, suspension, reconnection, plan change and cancellation to a URL of yours with a shared secret, so any router or controller you script against can act on it. The suspended list is also on screen.
Bill reminders

WhatsApp and SMS bill reminders before, on and after the due date

A reminder ladder for the whole company. Each step has its own message in your own words, and each message carries the bill PDF and the pay link. Every channel stays off until you switch it on, and a daily cap per channel keeps message costs in check.

  1. 1stBill issued1 NovThe bill goes out on WhatsApp or SMS with its PDF.
  2. −3Due soon7 Nov"Your bill of Rs 2,000 is due on 10 Nov. Pay here."
  3. DueDue today10 NovA second nudge with the same pay link.
  4. +5Overdue15 NovOverdue notice; the subscriber shows on the aging report at this step.
  5. +10Suspend20 NovSubscription suspended; MikroTik disables the connection.

Days, channels and wording are yours to change. A late fee, if you set one on the plan, is added to the next bill, never to the overdue one, because a bill already reported to a tax authority cannot be edited.

Recovery agents

Recovery agents, areas and a daily collection sheet for each

Most internet bills are still collected door to door. Every subscriber carries an area, a pole and a recovery agent, so each agent's round prints itself.

  • Collection sheet per agent per day: the open bills in their areas, with a box to write the amount received.
  • Bulk receipt entry when the agent returns: one screen settles every bill they collected, stamped with their name.
  • In the field, the EloERP field sales app records a receipt against the bill, even offline, with GPS.
  • Agent performance: billed, collected and outstanding per area and per agent, by date range.
ISP reports

ISP reports: outstanding by area and agent, churn and MRR

A subscriptions dashboard and six reports, all filtered by branch, exportable to Excel and printable.

  • Dashboard: active, on hold, suspended and cancelled this month; billed against collected; outstanding; MRR; the next run date and how the last run went.
  • Collection by area and agent: billed, collected and outstanding per area and per collector.
  • Aging: outstanding subscribers by days overdue, with the reminder step each one is on.
  • Churn and growth: new, cancelled, suspended and resumed per month, with reasons and the net change.
  • Revenue by package, the billing run register, and expiring and due for renewal for fixed-term contracts.
  • Alerts when a run fails, when a bill day passes with nothing billed, and for today's suspensions.
Billing with accounting

Every bill posted to your books, with tax

A subscription bill posts exactly like a credit sale: the customer owes it, revenue and tax are booked, and the receipt clears it. No separate billing tool to reconcile with your accounts at month end.

On the billWhere it posts
Monthly packageRevenue. Give a plan its own income ledger and internet revenue is reported apart from router and other sales.
Installation, routerRevenue, billed once on activation. Sell routers, cables and accessories over the counter with EloERP POS too.
Security depositCustomer Deposits, a liability. Refunded with a payment voucher or set off against dues on cancellation.
TaxThe tax set on the package's service item. Bills go through your company's configured tax-authority push (FBR, PRA/KPRA, ZATCA, MyInvois, UAE or Lekuka) like any sale invoice. See e-invoicing.
ReceiptCash, bank or the gateway's clearing account; the customer's ledger is settled.
Billing a month aheadOptional: post to unearned revenue and move each month's share to revenue at month end, if your accountant asks for it.

Customer ledgers, statements on WhatsApp, receipts and the general ledger are all part of EloERP accounting. Corrections never edit a filed bill; they go on the next bill or a credit note.

Setting up

Set up your ISP billing system with the Internet provider preset

Choose Subscription / recurring billing when you sign up, then apply the Internet provider preset. It adds packages, connection fields, a reminder ladder and message templates in an internet provider's own words; you edit any of it.

What an ISP needsHow EloERP covers it
Packages (speed, quota)One plan per package, for example "Internet 20 Mbps", each with its own price, bill day and due days.
Installation, router, security depositOne-time charges on the plan, billed on activation; the router can be a stock item if you keep routers in stock; the deposit is held as a refundable liability.
PPPoE user, password, MAC, OLT/box and port, static IPConnection fields from the Internet provider preset.
Area, pole, recovery agentArea, route and collector on every subscriber, managed from the Areas & Routes screens.
Bill for the month ahead on the 1st, due the 10thA monthly plan billed in advance on day 1, due in 10 days.
Disconnect on non-payment, reconnect on paymentAuto-suspend with the MikroTik integration, or the webhook for other equipment.
Upgrade mid-monthPlan change with a pro-rated line on the next bill.
ComplaintsEloERP's service jobs or CRM tickets.
Moving from a register or spreadsheetEnter each customer's arrears as an opening balance, and their real start date with the months before this one marked as billed. The first run then bills only the current month, and the old dues stay on the ledger to collect.
Try it with sample dataTick sample data at sign-up and the trial opens with 4 plans, 25 customers and three months of bills, about 70% paid, so the reports and the collection sheet have something to show on day one.

FAQ

ISP billing software: questions

Does EloERP disconnect MikroTik users automatically when they do not pay?
Yes. When a bill is still unpaid at the due date plus your grace days, the subscription is suspended and EloERP disables the customer's PPP secret or address-list entry on your MikroTik router. When the bill is paid in full, the subscription resumes and the entry is enabled again, unless you have set reconnection to need a staff member.
How does EloERP connect to MikroTik?
Through the RouterOS REST API. You add the router's connection details in the integration settings, and EloERP switches the PPP secret or address-list entry that matches each subscriber on suspend and resume.
Can it work with routers or hotspot controllers other than MikroTik?
Yes, through the webhook. EloERP sends every activation, suspension, reconnection, plan change and cancellation, with the subscriber's connection fields, to a URL you choose with a shared secret, so any router or controller you script against can act on it.
Can I bill every customer on the 1st and make the bill due on the 10th?
Yes. That is a monthly plan billed in advance on day 1 with 10 due days. Plans can also bill in arrears, or on each customer's own start date, and a new connection's first month can be pro-rated by day.
Can I charge installation, a router and a security deposit?
Yes. They are one-time charges on the plan, billed once when the connection is activated. The router can be a stock item, and the security deposit is held in a Customer Deposits liability until it is refunded or set off against dues when the customer leaves.
How do recovery agents collect payments?
Each subscriber has an area, a pole and a recovery agent. Every agent gets a printable daily collection sheet of open bills in their areas, and their receipts are entered in bulk when they return, or recorded in the field with the EloERP field sales app, offline and with GPS. Collection by area and agent shows each agent's results.
How can subscribers pay online?
Every reminder carries a pay link. The pay page offers the gateways you switch on, JazzCash, Easypaisa, Stripe and PayPal, plus bank transfer details for a payment you confirm by hand. Online payments are posted automatically. Cash, bank deposits and other wallet transfers are entered as receipts against the bill.
Does it work for ISPs outside Pakistan?
Yes. Billing, reminders, MikroTik, collection and reports work the same in any country. Bills use your company's currency and date format, messages are written in your own words, and the customer pay and account pages are available in 10 languages. Online payment covers the gateways named above; other payment methods are recorded as receipts.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, a 15-day free trial with no credit card. Choose Subscription / recurring billing at sign-up and tick sample data to start with plans, customers and three months of bills.
